We adopted Ryder from the local pound on a crisp, winter day, and almost immediately our entire life was thrown into disarray by this shoe chewing, book destroying, poop eating, toe breaking, mischief making monster.

Equally horrified and amazed by the furry thing that was suddenly lounging on my furniture, demanding affection and stuff to destroy, I started taking some tentative pictures of the creature. I felt I was trapped in a National Geographic adventure.

Thus, photography became a way for me to make sense of Ryder. Through my camera I try to capture the growing bond between dog and man as well as those boundaries where animal behaviour and human behaviour coalesce.
