Sunday Evening Rituals: Let us Ingest Tenderness

As soon as Sherry and Regan arrived in front of our house last Sunday, we went on a mission to fill their bellies and hearts with tenderness.

So we started by feeding them them pork tenderloin. “Umm … so tender,” Sherry said. Step one of our mission — accomplished.

Filling their hearts with tenderness, was a bit trickier. So at sunset we took them for a stroll down the train tracks by the industrial district. We held their hands, spoke softly, smiled handsomely. The warm spring air filled the pulsing muscles in our chest cavities with tenderness, love, and an explosion of rust:
