Oww, what an exciting time we’re having! Two weeks ago we convinced Jason Shim to let us take over his basement, promising to fill his whole house with puppy love.

We have been failing miserably at the “filling the house with love” part. However, we have been excelling at ripping down plaster, removing moldy carpets, cleaning cabinets, installing flooring, painting walls, and researching various ways to store the vestiges of our consumer society in as compact a space as possible.

The puppy has indeed been a great help. We trained her to roll around in paint and rub her body along the walls. Thanks to her technique, we’re making great progress in our renovation project, which has, incidentally, rekindled my love of spreadsheets. Look how organized everything is…
