It’s been 3 years since Laura and I have been together, which is both exciting and frightful. The frightful part is that we’ve slowly become one of those couples who argue for stupid reasons (dog slobber on the bed, dishes clogging sinks, nap time, and so on). The exciting part is that we’ve grown to enjoy the flow of our days, the wet licks of our dog, our road trips and adventures, and grabbing each other’s bum in public.

“It’s all downhill from here,” I said.

But she likes me despite the fact I’m a cynical jerk and I like her just the way she is. Shmoo.
