What Shall We Do With no Paws to Trample Forests

Life with puppies was a lot more fun before she decided to bust her little paws chasing deer. Back then, we used to be able to do fun things like:
load up the van with cans of soup and blankets …
and then drive for endless hours towards the wilderness …
and islands and Manitoulin …
and sleep in cars like vagrants, not showering once in days …
and smell of wilderness and swing naked from trees in moments of absolute abandon …
Look!
But now days are full of limping and worry and pent up energy, staying locked in apartments for days on end.
The good news is that the puppy’s bandaids are coming off at the end of the week. And then …
