How To Lose Your Glasses

March 19, 2007

It’s surprisingly easy to lose your glasses. All you have to do is take your puppy on a long walk through the forest on one of those winter days when the sun is shining and everything sparkles. Frolic with the dog down snowy paths, her tail wagging madly. And in the rush of excitement, with all those icicles hanging from trees and stones, feel inspired enough to jump out of your pants and high into the air, throwing your shirt and arms into the air to feel the wind dance around your naked body.

Later, when the blurry excitement of nakedness fails to subside, you’ll finally realize what you’ve lost. “Oh,” say. “I used to have my glasses in my jacket when I was swinging it around my head.”

Oops. Your moment of excitement just cost you about $300 in optician fees.

Aw man, you need an insurance policy on those things. Is this the 2nd pair of glasses in the snow?
