We All Live in Google Time
April 13, 2006
Well, look at that — Google now has a calendar. And as with most good things, you can make your life easier by subscribing to other people’s public calendars. For instance, you can stalk me by reading my list of upcoming events or subscribe to a day-by-day breakdown of my blog entries.
Exciting, eh?
Posted by Tudor at 04:54 PM in Technology | TrackBackI think you’re going to start seeing most student clubs and other sorts of community organizations start publishing their standardized calendars on the web. Potential attendees can easily see what’s coming up, and organizers can avoid stepping on eachother’s toes. Or their attendees toes, if representative attendees also publish their calendars on the web. Glorious!

Posted by: karen on April 13, 2006 at 06:18 PMsee how I looked at your calendar and saw what you were doing tonight and then emailed you about it because it pertained to my life? cool! this has a very real and exciting application!
Posted by: Captain Poultry on April 13, 2006 at 10:04 PMI can’t seem to get it to work. In Mozilla it comes up as XML gibberish, and in explorer it tries to become a download…
Posted by: spindriftdancer on April 15, 2006 at 08:27 PMYeah, that’s the beauty of it — it *is* XML gibberish. You’ll probably need an RSS reader to make sense of it. Alternately, if you already use Google Calendar, you can just search for my name and you’ll be able to “add” my calendar.
Yay.
