Broken Cast

March 30, 2006

A couple of days ago I got a recording machine in my mailbox. Laura was really excited about it, until I told her what I was going to do with it.

“I’m going to record everything,” I said.

And she said, “You’re not taking that thing into bed with us.”

“Can I at least record the little bit at the end?” I asked.

She didn’t want to budge. So instead of recording the sound of throbbing bodies in the dark, I decided to stick to duller subjects. Like the sounds of my day.

Have a listen. This is my first podcast, and it’s exciting.

(Credit goes to Paul for the pee inspiration).

Update: There’s now an RSS feed, for those of you eager to add this podcast to your iTunes.

Seriously, that Mr. Roger’s with an accent voice is creeping me out, bedtime story man. Shit. Thanks for my night of not sleeping, creepo.

It really scared me at the end when you said you were listening.

Creepo? Just you wait for the weekend, Laura!

And yes Megan, i was talking about you. Specifically. I can hear what you’re saying.

The theme music you hear, by the way, is from Here and Now.

What an excellent first feature! I think your toilet uses water more efficiently than mine.

But it’s not a podcast until I can have iTunes fetch it automatically :)

Hahaha! Thanks for your encouragement, Paul. I’m going to have to teach itunes a lesson soon (via RSS feeds perhaps). Until the podcast will remain a broken cast :). ahem.

I just wish there was less talking.

Looks like making a “podcast” RSS feed from within movable type has been made easier …

As for wordpress, it’s supported out of the box (http://codex.wordpress.org/Podcasting). Hurrah.

Well, you smell funny. And I’m insist on doing everything manually.
