Hard to Please

January 07, 2005

I managed to pull a muscle in my abdomen while masturbating. I know, I couldn’t believe it either. Jerking-off cheered me up while dealing with my breakup, so I’ve been doing it compulsively in the last four days. But now it even hurts to smile.

And this morning, I couldn’t help but smile. You see, the Cord published its review of WLUSU directors, and said some funny shit about Tudor Costache (and also included the picture above in the article):

One of the most vocal directors this year, Costache has done an excellent job on micro-managing within the BOD. He is not afraid to speak his mind and to let the other directors as well as the [Management Committee] know what he is thinking. He often questions Welker directly on decisions he has made such as those concerning size and cost of food portions found within the Terrace.

Although outspoken, this can also be seen as counterproductive when trying to discuss serious topics during board meetings that are already running late. Costache will often ask ludicrous questions along with those that are actually pertinant to the topic.

At the beginning of the year Costache did a lot of work specifically dealing with hiring practices within WLUSU and the STARR interviewing process. He has also active in researching the cuts to the scholarship grid. Costache is also a part of a few committees including the Grant Fund Committee which decides where the WLUSU grants should go.

Overall Costache has been very good at representation and communication which was his goal according to his platform, even making himself available to students in the Concourse. However, one director pointed out that if there is no drama occurring in the board room, he finds himself bored and tries to create his own.

It’s all true! I laughed and laughed until abdominal pain made cry.

That line is so going on my resume (along with the other bolded sections above).

that doesn’t seem like the right context for saying “micro-managing”

they say drama like it’s a bad thing…

I laughed too. :)

And re: the muscle-pulling…that’s pretty impressive!
